February 20 - Heavenly Hundred Heroes Day is a memorable day in Ukraine to commemorate the feat of participants in the Revolution of Dignity and to commemorate the Heavenly Hundred Heroes.
Heavenly Hundred is the collective name of the dead 104 protesters in Ukraine who were directly related to the idea and action of the Euromaidan (Revolution of Dignity) in December 2013 - February 2014.
On February 21, 2014, the official authorities of Ukraine legally recognized the victims of the Maidan protesters. A farewell to the dead rebels, called "Heavenly Hundred" in mourning speeches, took place on the Maidan that day.
The Heavenly Hundred Heroes feat has inspired hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians to fight Russian aggression. And we bow our heads, paying tribute to all who laid down their lives for the freedom of their motherland.
Eternal memory and glory to the Heroes! They do not die, but remain forever our glory and heavenly defenders of Ukraine!
Today we must not betray those who have taken the courageous step toward self-sacrifice and immortality! We are responsible to them, to ourselves and to our children for the fate and future of our country!
Glory to Ukraine!
