Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Iraq Ivan Dovhanych met with Saeed Neima Jabor Al-Jayashi, Advisor at the National Security Council under the Council of Ministers of Iraq.

The interlocutors exchanged views on key issues of international security, noting the high level of mutual trust between Ukraine and Iraq. Both countries, having endured the tragic consequences of prolonged armed conflicts, firmly share the position that all disputes must be resolved with full respect for international law and exclusively by peaceful means.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a range of bilateral cooperation matters in areas of mutual interest, as well as certain aspects of interaction between relevant institutions of the two countries. It was agreed to intensify efforts towards concluding a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministries of Justice of Iraq and Ukraine.
