The flag was approved in 1917, and the holiday itself began to be celebrated in 2010 and fixed by the decision of the V Kurultay of the Crimean Tatar people. The golden tamga on the blue flag for the whole world became a symbol of indomitability and courage of the people, a symbol of the struggle for their rights, the struggle for the return of Crimea to the control of Ukraine.
Among the Crimean Tatars who are persecuted for their clear pro-Ukrainian position and discriminated by the Russian occupants in the occupied Crimea are political prisoners- Server Mustafayev, Seyran Saliyev, the Abdullayev brothers, Emir-Usein Kuku.
Today, Crimean Tatar flags remind Crimeans of the spirit of freedom and unity. Unity in the struggle for the return of the State Flag of Ukraine to the Crimea, and that, as before, in Bakhchisarai or Simferopol, we again admired the two flags fluttering next to each other.
Crimea is Ukraine!
