On August 26, 2025, Ukrainian Ambassador to the Republic of Iraq, Ivan Dovhanych, met with Iraq’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shorsh Khalid Said, to discuss pressing matters of bilateral cooperation. During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral ties and maintaining a constructive dialogue. They agreed that continued engagement would foster the development of mutually beneficial cooperation for the well-being of both the Ukrainian and Iraqi peoples.
