The Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba took part in a panel discussion at the Kyiv International Economic Forum entitled “The World After Pandemics. New opportunities for Ukraine " on December 16.

The Minister pointed three priority tasks of Ukraine's foreign economy for the next 10 years:

- Support for Ukrainian businesses that produce the product and seek to export it;

- Ensuring the security of countries, as well as, among other things, to reduce foreign investment;

- Building synergies with foreign Ukrainians for the development of the Ukrainian economy.

According to the Minister, the best key priority is the development of a food economy, which provides maximum support for businesses that produce value-added products and begin mass exports.

According to Dmytro Kulebi, during the crisis year of 2020 it was possible to transfer the diplomatic system to practical assistance to Ukrainian business abroad.

"The decline in world trade and the expansion of established supply chains in 2020 have made some countries more open and flexible in their trade policies. Ukrainian diplomats were able to use opportunities to help Ukrainian business obtain new certificates and permits for Ukrainian exporters in low foreign markets, "said Dmytro Kuleba.

Finally, the Minister remarked that the massive change in production from Asia to Europe, which experts expected at the beginning of the pandemic, did not happen.

"I want the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to be an effective partner for Ukrainian business and Ukrainian citizens," the minister concluded.
