On December 4-14, 2024, the International Book Fair-2024 is organised in Baghdad, where Iraqi leading publishing houses presented their products. This is one of the largest cultural events in Iraq, a country known for its centuries-old history.

The fair was attended by a close supporter of Ukraine, one of the most active members of the Union of Iraqi Writers Mr. Abbas Azeez Ali who translated and published the book of famous works by Taras Shevchenko - “Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko – a legendary character”/ تاراس شفشنكو – الشخصية الاسطورية". This book was exhibited at the fair where the author presented it to visitors with his personal autograph.

Such events allow the Iraqi people to learn more about the culture of Ukraine and help build friendly relations between our countries.
